In high school worked as a model Hollister and worked for Abercrombie & Fitch.
Moved to Malibu, CA to go to college and
Attended Pepperdine University to study broadcast journalism, but dropped out only a couple months into the year and started auditioning for commercials.
His mother was the one who encouraged him to take the career path of acting, because in high school he took a career aptitude test which said he had a career in acting or performing arts.
The first talent agent that interviewed him instantly hired him and Chace started studying acting.
He first appeared on tv for a television movie called Long Lost Son in 2006, and then appeared in a horror movie called The Covenant.
Chace's big break is considered to have been in 2007, when he became one of the lead roles in a teen TV show called Gossip Girl.
He was also part of the movie Loaded, The Haunting of Molly Hartley and starred in a Family Guy episode in 2008.
He won the Choice TV Breakout Star Male at Teen Choice awards.
In 2010 he starred in a movie called Twelve.
In 2012 he was one of the main parts in What to Expect When You're Expecting, with Jennifer Lopez, Anna Kendrick, Cameron Diaz, Matthew Morrison, Chris Rock and more.
